Dynamic inline layout displays with line breaks in generated PDF

Summary



Dynamic inline layout does not display correctly when converted to PDF. When using a section with dynamic inline layouts in generating PDF, the inline fields display as stacked with line breaks on the generated PDF.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a section with a dynamic inline layout. All the fields are displayed inline in UI
  2. Use this section to create a PDF
  3. Open the generated PDF. All the fields are stacked with line breaks


Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.


Resolution

Perform the following local-change:

Use the free form layout in the section instead of a dynamic layout.

Alternatively, update to Pega 7.4.
