Enable Partitioning option does not display



Enable Partitioning option does not display while implementing Pega Marketing 7.31.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Log in to the Pega Marketing portal
  2. Navigate to Settings > Application Settings > Configuration Settings. Enable Partitioning option does not display.

Root Cause

An error or omission in product documentation.

According to the Pega Marketing 7.31 User Guide, the 'Enable Partitioning' option increases performance. However, this option is removed.


Here’s the explanation for the reported behavior:

Pega Marketing 7.31 does not support physical (table) partitioning. However, it supports data partitioning for performance gains. Hence, the Partition settings option is removed from the UI. Data partitioning is applied automatically. This helps Segments and Campaigns to run effectively.
