Error importing PRPC 5.3 RAP file into Pega 7.1.8

Summary



User is getting an error when attempting to import a PRPC 5.3 RAP file into a Pega 7.1.8 instance. 


Error Messages



2015-06-17 10:20:54,862 [ WebContainer : 0] [TABTHREAD0] [ ] [ PegaRULES:07.10] (o.ImportableInformationFactory) WARN IP1 | IP2 <user> - Failed to read Archive Info because Unable to find META-INF/map.ser

Steps to Reproduce



Create a RAP file containing PRPC 5.3 rules and try importing into a Pega 7.1.8 instance.

Root Cause



The root cause of this problem is a defect in Pegasystems code/rules. 

Resolution



This issue is resolved through the following local change: Create a Data-Admin-System-Setting by going to Records>SysAdmin>Dynamic System Settings with

Owning ruleset : Pega-IntegrationEngine
Setting Purpose : xml/AllowDocTypes
value : true

Perform the import. The JVM does not need to be restarted.
