Error message when an incorrect Date is entered

The user has a date control implemented in a section rule. Instead of using the Calender to select date, user provides date value. On change of the date control they execute a custom activity.

Now, if User enters incorrect date they see an UI error with a pop up.

Error Messages

Popup with Status 'Fail'

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a Date control.
  2. On change of the date control use an activity to use the date value.
  3. Enter incorrect date on the UI.

Root Cause

The UI error that comes is evaluated using client side JavaScript code and the activity fails. So, the popup error message appears.

Perform the following local-change:

1. Create a JS file and upload the file to the Harness.

2. Add the below code in the JS file to do reload section and run activity. You would need to add your own validations.
