Error while loading the test case and test suite

Summary



User is unable to run the automated test case for an activity which is accessing the parameterized Datapage.

Activity:
 



DataPage:





User is getting the below system error while running the Test cases that is created for the Acitvity-DemoForRanking. In this Activity parameter value is passed to the datapage (D_SaveVinData). This parameter value passed to the Datapage is not getting passed to ‘LoadTestCase’ while running the Test cases.
In LoadTestCase pega activity step-4, it is loading the initial pages. But when it is not getting the parameter when it try to load the data page with parameter.

 


Error Messages



Status: Fail
Message: There has been an issue; please consult your system administrator

Unable to load data page D_AAAA. Required parameters : bbbb. cannot be blank


Steps to Reproduce



1. Define a Parameterized Datapage.
2. Access the DataPage in an activity.
3. Run the activity'and save the results as Test Case.


Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules : Rule-Obj-Activity.LoadTestCase activity, Java step tries to find pages defined under pages and classes.

Here, datapage fails to load without parameters. 


Resolution



Perform the following local-change step:


Make all the parameters of Data Page non-mandatory. If, values are passed properly there would be no change in any behavior.
