Exported report opens in HTML instead of the .xls format

Summary
On exporting a report using Export to Excel, the report is saved with the .xls extension. However, on opening the exported report with a text editor, the report displays in the HTML format.

Steps to Reproduce
- Log in to the application
- Export a report using the out-of-the-box Export to Excel
- Open the exported report using a text editor
Root Cause
A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.
Resolution
An enhancement request, FDBK-17441, has been created for consideration by Pega Product Management.
