Filtering does not inherit the grid rows

SA-24054

Summary

Two grid layouts reference the same data page. In one of the columns of the grid, there is a visibility condition that is different for two grids. When filtering is enabled, it displays a value that is not displayed in the second grid.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a grid sourced by a report definition or a data page.
  2. In the grid, apply a visible When condition to hide rows based on a condition.
  3. Enable filtering on all columns.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules. A Java file is created every time a section is saved. (Select View Java under Actions in the section.) If the section gets corrupted, the new section will not have the corruptions because a new Java file is created. The new section works correctly. If the corrupted Java file is deleted, restart the server. The section should work fine. But there maybe an exception where the corruptions may still occur.

Resolution

Perform the following local-change:
Save the Grid layout as a Section.
