How to disable the "Know your location" popup from Pega

Summary



When users navigate within a custom Pega application, a "Know your location" web browser popup appears on the screen. The two available buttons to click are "Allow" and "Block". The custom Pega application does not use geolocation and the developer would like to turn off the popup for all of the users.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Navigate within the application.
  2. Observe the popup.

Root Cause



An issue in the custom application code or rules.

Resolution



Perform the following local-change:
  1. Open the pyGeolocationTrackingIsEnabled When rule (Data-Portal class).
  2. Save As the rule to your application's ruleset.
  3. Change the When condition to always return false (for example, "true != true").
  4. Click Save.
