HTTP 400 - Bad Request Error with REST connector POST method

Summary




Unable to Create REST connector having POST method.


Error Messages



Execution failed : 400 - Bad Request error




Steps to Reproduce



1. Launch REST Connector Wizard.
2. Load URL (REST Service URL)
3. Click Next to go to Select Method Screen. Select POST method click on test.
4. Provide the JSON input.
5. Click on Test.



Root Cause



While runing Rest Wizard, test connection is failing in the POST method.
The root cause is we dont have the header option in the test window to pass with the Request.


Resolution



Use the third party request and response file to generate the artifacts.
Once the artifacts got generated, in the request POST method, add  content-type as "application/json" in the header.
The service will work as expected.
