IE11 Zoom in / Zoom out issues

Summary



IE11 Zoom in / Zoom out Issues. The case management portal works for various zoom levels in IE 9 but the same use case is not rendered correctly in IE-11

Details :

Scenario 1 : Zooming out :  Only the application screen resolution is reduced displaying against a white background.However in IE9, the page resolution is decreased without white background.

Scenario 2 : Missing scrollbar when zoomin in: When the contents on the screen are spread horizontally scroll bar is missing in IE - 11 . However in IE9, scroll bar is displayed at all zoom levels.

Steps to Reproduce




Scenario 1 :

In IE11 and IE-9
1. Login to Case Management application
2. Set Zoom level = 75%
3. Application displays against white background for IE 11
4. Application displays without white background for IE 9

Scenario 2:
In IE11 and IE 9
1. Login to Case Management application
2. Set Zoom Level = 115%
3.  Missing horizontal and vertical scroll bar (User can move across vertically but not horizontally using mouse) in IE-11
4. Displays horizontal and vertical scroll bar. in IE-9



Root Cause



Only 100% zoom levels are supported for Pega portals. For other zoom levels, a best case effort is done but results are not guranteed.

Resolution



Only 100% zoom levels are supported for Pega portals.
