Interaction tab does not close when the tab is closed

SA-69234

Summary

Interaction tab does not close on clicking the Cancel button or the tab Close icon.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a new flow action which displays the worklist.
  2. Click the Cancel button.

Root Cause

For a working use case:

In the Interaction portal, the tabs are stored as pxResults in the D_CPMPortalRecents page (User pages) on the Clipboard. Every pxResult is associated with a pyID. This is used to remove the result from the Clipboard. Hence, the screen refreshes and the tab closes in the portal.
For the non-working use case:

Since pyID is not created for any pxResult, they are not deleted. Since the records persist in the Clipboard, the tab is not closed.

Resolution

Perform the following local-change:
  1. Create the pyID when the flow action is run.
  2. Call the CPMCheckAndSetTempID data transform from the pyDefault data transform of the PegaCA-Work-Interaction-Call class. CPMCheckAndSetTempID checks if the work object is temporary and generates a unique ID for the temporary work object.
