Issue with validation on modal flow action

Application developer has a grid repeat sourced from a report definition. On right-clicking any record in the grid, a navigation appears from which a modal flow action can be launched. The validation of the user inputs on the modal dialog is not functioning properly. Despite validation errors in the input, the modal is accepted, and no errors are flagged.
