Issue with wait shape in Flows

SA-63088

Summary

Case dependency does not work when using the Wait shape in some flows. The Wait shape is dependent on a child case.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a parent and child case.
  2. In the parent case, configure a Wait shape and define case dependency on the child case using a dynamic class reference pattern.
  3. Run the parent case and create an instance for the child case.
  4. Complete the child case.

Root Cause

When a child case was resolved, the parent case must resume according to the Wait shape configuration. However, the parent case did not resume when case dependency was mentioned on the child case. Hence, the pyCaseDependencey Declare Trigger rule must be created. In this use case, the rule was not created by Pega.

Resolution

As a local-change, manually create the pyCaseDependencey Declare Trigger rule.
