Mashup window does not close completely

Summary



Mashup window does not close completely on Chrome and Firefox browsers. However, a warning displays on closing the Mashup window while using window.close().

Warning:

Scripts may not close windows that were not opened by script on console.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Pega Mashup using command prompt
  2. Close the window using window.close();


Root Cause



A software use or operation error. The window is not opened using webapp or script rather it is opened using the command prompt.

Resolution



Here’s the explanation for the reported behavior: 
If the user opens the window using the command prompt, logs into the environment and then closes the window using window.close, then the window does not close and a warning message displays.
