Number control allows input of characters in Firefox browser v59

Summary



A property is created with a control configured as Number. However, the user is able to enter characters. This occurs when using the Mozilla Firefox browser v59.


Error Messages

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a section with a TextInput control
  2. Configure the TextInput control as Number
  3. Run the flow and enter characters in the TextInput control


Root Cause



A third-party product issue. This is a default behavior of Mozilla Firefox.


Resolution

Here's the explanation for the reported behavior:

This behavior is browser-dependent. To prevent the input of non-numeric characters, use JavaScript.
