ocijdbc12 not found in Java Library Path

SA-77160

Summary

Build fails while executing the upgrade.sh from PRPC 6.1 SP2 to Pega 8.2.1.

Error Messages

[java] Caused by: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: ocijdbc12 (Not found in java.library.path)

Steps to Reproduce

Execute upgrade.sh.

Root Cause

The 'java.lang.unsatisfiedlinkerror on ocijdbc12 in the java.library.path' error occurs when connecting to Oracle 11g database using the Oracle Call Interface (OCI) (thick) driver by using the name. However, the ocijdbc.dll file is unavailable in the PATH or the java.library.path environment variable.

Resolution

Perform the following local-change:

Download the appropriate ojdbc7.jar from the Oracle website and add it to the Java library path.

For Linux use the .so file instead of the .dll file.
