PhoneBook entry converting phone numbers with more than 10 digit

Summary



PhoneBook entry converting phone numbers with more than 10 digit to some random negative number. For example when we enter phone number 08001231234 and click 'Save', system converts the number to -587853784.

Large numbers are not returned correctly and some are shown with a minus sign.


Error Messages



Not Applicable.


Steps to Reproduce



1. Open a Phone Directory
2. Enter a phone number. For ex: 08001231234.
3. Save the Phonebook.

Once the form is refreshed, we would observe some random negative number in the phone number field rather than pone number 08001231234.


Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules

Phone number is of type integer which has the limit. Code has been changed to use new property pyContactNumber instead of pyPhoneNumber.

Resolution



Apply HFIX-34944.
