Summary

A tab configured to "Refresh when Active" is not refreshing.

Root Cause

'Refresh when active' will not work when the configured tab is a harness.  This is the intended behavior.



If the configured tab is a section or dynamic layout, the 'Refresh when active' option works fine.

Using harnesses results in slower load times for each static tab and unnecessary thread creation and management because each harness is opened in a different thread.

Configure the tab content to reference a dynamic layout or section:




The “Refresh when active” checkbox for harness Includes will be removed in Pega 7.1.7 because this feature is not intended to be used with harnesses.
