Text wrap issues in grid despite IE 11 compatibility hotfixes

SA-5287

Summary

Business user machines have upgraded IE browsers to IE11. Developers have proactively installed known IE10 or 11 compatibility HFIXs documented here:

https://pdn.pega.com/user-interface/troubleshooting-ie10-and-ie11-ui-problems-fixed-by-prpc-5x-and-prpc-6x-hotfixes-for-ie5-quirks-mode

This has resolved 99% of their application rendering issues, however there is an edge case where rendering is still incorrect.

In this particular case text wrap alignment does not work when grids are set to a fixed width.

Error Messages

Not Application.

Steps to Reproduce

1) Use IE 11 in conjunction with the compatibility HFix documented here.:

https://pdn.pega.com/user-interface/troubleshooting-ie10-and-ie11-ui-problems-fixed-by-prpc-5x-and-prpc-6x-hotfixes-for-ie5-quirks-mode

2) View a section which has a grid configured with a fixed width and wrap text on. Notice the text is truncated instead of wrapping properly.

Root Cause

The root cause of this problem is a compatibility issue with PRPC and IE11.

Resolution

This issue is resolved by HFix-20406.
