Unable to save BIX Extract Rule with Pega 7.2.1



After installing Business Intelligence Exchange (BIX) module, a BIX Extract rule can not be created. The new rule does not get saved into the system.

Error Messages

Not Applicable.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Install the BIX module.
  2. Create a new BIX Extract rule: Create > Sysdamin > Extract.
  3. The rule form does appear in the Designer Studio, but the rule does not persist in the system after a save.

Root Cause

The BIX module has been incorrectly installed.


As documented in the BIX User Guide, it is required:

1) The Pega-BIX ruleset should listed in the Required Ruleset list of the Application Ruleset.

2) Add the Pega-BIX ruleset in the Application Ruleset list.
