Unable to update workobjects.

Summary
On running an Update statement on a table, the changes made roll back after some time. Hence, unable to update the work objects.

Steps to Reproduce
Update the table manually. The Merge query is triggered on the table after some time and it overrides the existing entries.
Root Cause
Merge query is similar to the Pega generated query; however, the interaction is not traced from Pega when the same Merge query is triggered.
Resolution
As a local-change, restart the database to clear all the running and blocked threads.
