Summary

We need to open some flows to compare PRPC 5.5 SP1 with 7.1.5 behaviour, but on 5.5 SP1, when we try to open a flow with Visio 2010, we get this error:-

Error Messages

"The flow was last saved in visio 2003 format. To open with visio 2002 it has to be resaved in visio 2002.
Launch visio 2003 in external mode set
Tools -> Options -> Save -> Default format to visio 2002 and resave."

Steps to Reproduce

Open a flow on PRPC 5.5 SP1 and click on the button to open the flow on VISIO

Root Cause

At the time of release, PRPC 5.5 SP1 was not designed to operate in conjunction with Visio 2010 / Office 2010.

Resolution

The following PRPC v5.5 SP1 hotfix was provided:-

Require 6.1 SP2 Office 2010 / Visio 2010 support backported to 5.5 GA and 5.5 SP1 for Client.
