SA-27233

Summary

Users have reported that data is not wrapped in PDF.

User has configured two Rich Text editor(RTE) controls in a section to take input from UI and using the same properties in other section(in grids side by side),using “Rich Text Display” control to display in PDF.

When user enters data without using new line like ENTER in the RTE and generating the PDF, data is not wrapped in PDF.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create a section with two RTE's.
2. Use the same properties with "Rich Text Display" control and place them side by side in other section.
3. Enter the data in to RTE's without any line breakers.

Root Cause

Misinterpretation of wrap text functionality.

Resolution

Here’s the explanation for the reported behavior:

Pega follows word wrap. Based on the words Pega wraps text in available space.
User expectation is on entering a single word with 100-120 letters, it should be wrapped as is to a single window (like Notepad) which is incorrect.
