Summary

While installing Industry Insurance Framework (IIF 7.1.6) facing an error and the import is failed.

Error Messages

com.pega.pegarules.pub.clipboard.InvalidValueException: String was not a date "10/1/2014"

Steps to Reproduce

Try to install IIF 7.1.6 on PRPC 7.1.8 with DB2 9.7. Observe an error in the import wizard.

Root Cause

Tried to install the same way in in-house system and Pega Support engineer did not face any problem.

But developer environment is upgraded from PRPC 6.2 SP1 and they have CPM older version as well in their prior system. Now user is able to install the IIF by skipping the 16 instances which are creating problem with date format.

The rules with respect to PRICE ADJUSTMENTS which developer is skipping will not cause any problem, as they are just part of sample product options.
 But if user wants to install and use the top-applications that are CL or PL or GUW on top of IIF, then user can create that product lines manually using PBI portal.

As user is not using any of the top applications(installing IIF as pre requisite to PCSI 7.4), no need to create those sample records as well.

Resolution

User must skip the mentioned instances, as they are sample records.
