SA-27791
Summary
Upgrade from PRPC 6.3 SP1 to Pega 7.2.1 fails on Generate Declarative Indexes step due to a timeout.
Error Messages
Error: Exception while processing response for the class Rule-Declare-DecisionTable:
[java] java.util.concurrent.TimeoutException
Steps to Reproduce
Run a single schema upgrade.
Root Cause
A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment:
Some tasks take longer than expected, thus the timeout is thrown. The upgrade does not fail due to timeouts. The upgrade is completed.
Resolution
Perform the following local-change:
- Allow the upgrade to finish.
- Rerun the reindex task, which had timeouts, using prpcUtils or prpcServiceUtils command line tool with expose parameter.
- In the corresponding properties file for the tool, in addition to the database or system configuration properties, set the following expose specific properties:
- expose.includedClasses=Rule-
- expose.reindex=true
- expose.reindexType=nonpega
