Let’s start off by learning a bit more about your life prior to Pega. Where are you from originally and what is your educational background?
I am from Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, I have a bachelor’s degree in Computers Engineering in the year 2000 and a Master’s Degree In Business Administration Specialized in Marketing in 2010. I started working for the Bank BHDLeon in the year 1999 as a Technical Help Desk and after a year I became Siebel CRM Developer. We were part of the Siebel Development Team from 2001 until 2012 installing Siebel 6 and then upgrading to Siebel 8 in 2009. After that project, we became Manager of the Siebel Development Team until we decided to implement Pega in 2019.
What motivated you to learn how to use Pega?
Well,the bank decided to transform the way our clients interact with us, and we need to have our offers, client-focused and that’s why we decided to go with Pega as our new CRM to initiate our new bank, the bank of the future, the digital bank with Pega as one of our cornerstones. Based on that, I needed to learn Pega to help the organization reach that goal, as one of the key members of the BHD Pega Team
How has Pega shaped or impacted your career?
Pega has given me a new dimension in my IT career, as Pega is the leader in Digital Transformation, now I have more options to work internationally. Learning a new software always gives you the motivation to keep going for more which will help me keep growing in the organization and in my professional career.

How is Pega changing the organization where you work?
Pega is transforming the way we do business with our clients. We are going to be able to offer the products that our clients really need. Pega is transforming our processes because it is helping us go from an Analog Bank to a Digital bank
What message or advice would you give to anyone who is considering a career as a Pega Developer?
Stop considering it and just go for it!!! You won’t regret it, Pega is very powerful and the job opportunities will keep growing.
