Accented chars wrongly displayed in Application Documents

Summary



Accented characters display problem in documents generated with Application Document wizard.
Some accentuated characters are badly encoded.


Error Messages



No errors on screens but accented chars are displayed wrongly in the generated document:
"Spécification", "Créé par"


Steps to Reproduce

  • Create a specification that contains accented characters.
  • Generate the specification document


Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules: The RULE-UTILITY-FUNCTION DOCUMENTAPP PZGENERATEDOCUMENT omitted to specify the charset used in document's chunks.

Resolution



Apply HFix-25021 which updates the pzGenerateDocument function to specify the character encoding for document's chunks.
