"Cannot read property '_configs' of undefined JS error

Summary
JavaScript error occurs when closing a tab and the system hangs.
Error Messages
JavaScript error on the Developer toolbar console:
Cannot read property '_configs' of undefined
Steps to Reproduce
- From the Navigation rule which invokes the Create Work. New tabs open.
- Launch a few tabs. If the tabs are closed from the last (last in first out (LIFO)), error does not occur.
- Close the tabs from the beginning. Close the first tab and then the second tab. JavaScript error occurs.
Root Cause
A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.
Error was related to registering on an active tab. The issue occurred because a null check was not present for the active tab.
Resolution
Apply HFix-53197.
