Connect-SOAP converts Null date values to Unix Epoch (19700101)

Summary



Connect-SOAP retrieves values from an external database and converts the Null date values to Unix Epoch (19700101).


Error Messages



Not Applicable.


Steps to Reproduce

  1. Launch the application
  2. Generate a Request XML for a SOAP Service with a Date field in it. Ensure that the Date field does not have any value
  3. Run the flow. Request XML displays 19700101T000000.000 GMT in the Date field


Root Cause



A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment.


Resolution



Perform the following local-change:

Create the following Dynamic System Setting (DSS) as per the property type and set their value to 'true' as follows:

For the Date property:

Setting Purpose: disableEpochDate
Owning Ruleset: Pega-IntegrationEngine
Value: true

For the DateTime property:

Setting Purpose: disableEpochDateTime
Owning Ruleset: Pega-IntegrationEngine
Value: true
