Data Flow fails to run

Summary



Data Flows fail to run and the below error message displays on screen.


Error Messages



Pre-processing activity of pzInitializeLP feed action failed : Problem invoking function: pega_rules_utilities.callActivity--(ClipboardPage,String,ParameterPage), Stages are different. Only metrics from the same stage can be merged


Steps to Reproduce

  1. Run the Marketing Campaign containing a Data Flow.
  2. Navigate to the landing page from Real Time processing Data Flows.


Root Cause



The Merge shape in the Data Flow cannot have input properties from different classes.


Resolution



Perform the following local-change:

Update the Merge shape in the Data Flow with input properties from the same class instance.

Alternatively, follow the below steps:
  1. Stop the Data Flow node from the Designer Studio > Decisioning > Infrastructure > Services > Data Flow.
  2. Click the icon next to Execute and Stop. This stops the running of the Data Flow instances.
Follow the below steps to enable Pega cloud instances when the environment level is set to 4 or 5 (pre-prod and production):
  1. Perform a Private Check out of the pyIsProductionNode When rule and remove the first or/and second conditions as applicable.
  2. Click Save.
This enables the link to stop the node, update the Data Flow, and discard the changes to the When rule.
