DerInputStream.getLength(): lengthTag=109, too big

Summary



You added -Djavax.net.ssl.trustStore=cacerts in Websphere JVM argument and restarted server. Pega Application making HTTPS connect-rest calls does not work.

Error Messages



java.io.IOException: DerInputStream.getLength(): lengthTag=109, too big in systemout.log

Steps to Reproduce



There is no specific use case to reproduce this error.

Root Cause



JKS keystore format is not understood correctly by Wesbphere.

Resolution



This issue is resolved by making the following change to the PRPC operating environment:

Change cacerts file name to cacerts.jks and add
 -Djavax.net.ssl.trustStoreType=jks argument to the JVM to explicitly specify JKS keystore format.
