Empty elements in XML cause error in page copy

Summary



When XML content with empty (blank) elements is parsed (through Parse-XML) and added to the clipboard, the content cannot be copied from the page to another page, due to a property mismatch exception.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Run a Parse-XML on XML content with empty elements. 
  2. Attempt to copy the resulting clipboard content to another clipboard page.


Root Cause



The root cause of this problem is a defect in user application code/rules.

Resolution



Local-change is to set the dynamic system setting to switch to old assembler routines. The setting is as follows:

Value: true
Ruleset: Pega-IntegrationEngine
