Error when changing password at first login

Error message displays on logging in to the application for the first time and the system forces the user to change the password as 'Force password change on next login' = 'Y'.

Error Messages

Screen error:
There has been an issue; please consult your system administrator.

Tracer error:
Failed to find instance @baseclass.pyChangePassword of type Rule-HTML-Section.

Steps to Reproduce

Log in to the Pega application for the first time.

Root Cause

There is a difference in the actions configured on the Submit or ChangePassword buttons. At runtime, Pega searched for pyChangePassword and could not find it. Hence, the error occurred.

Perform the following local-change:
  1. Open the settings of the 'Change password' button
  2. Navigate to the Actions tab
  3. Select 'Reload current harness' instead of 'Reload this section'.
