Error while exposing a column using Expose from prpcUtils

Summary



An error occurs while exposing a column using Expose from prpcUtils and command line and specifying the startDate and endDate properties.


Error Messages



[java] com.pega.pegarules.pub.PRRuntimeError: Can't get a PublicAPI reference


Steps to Reproduce



Modify the prpcutils.properties file based on the steps in https://pdn.pega.com/how-use-column-populator-utility.


Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules. Even before starting, the engine searches for public API to validate the start and end dates while running the expose operation through prpcUtils.


Resolution

Perform the following local-change:
  1. Remove the property values for the startDate and endDate properties
  2. Run the prpcUtils expose tool
