Field Value rules not found by Localization Wizard

SA-34278

Summary

Some Field Value rules that exist in the non-localized application ruleset seem to be missed by the Localization Wizard when they do not have an applies-to class of "@baseclass."

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create Field Value rules in the base application ruleset (do not use "@baseclass" as the applies-to class when creating the rules).
  2. Run the Localization Wizard.

Root Cause

When creating custom Field Value rules, it is generally recommended that they use "@baseclass" as their applies-to class. If this is not done, the Localization Wizard may have difficulties correctly resolving them when run. This may cause rules to be incorrectly listed in the resulting spreadsheet if they refer to the Field Value rules without "@baseclass" and may cause those Field Value rules to missing entirely from the generated spreadsheet.

Resolution

Resaving the Field Value rules with an applies-to class of "@baseclass" and re-running the Localization Wizard corrects this issue.
