Summary
Filtering issue in Report Definition results in screen hangs.
The Report in question has over 8,000 rows.
It takes several minutes to generate the filter panel, and once generated, the browser becomes unresponsive when trying to use the panel.

Steps to Reproduce
Create a report definition that can bring 2000+ unique results in a filter criteria on to the screen.
Root Cause
This issue was determined to be a product enhancement request.
Resolution
In the Pega 7.2.1 release, the following enhancement has been provided:
A new "search-only" option has been added to the grid-column filter:
Once checked, the grid filter popup will look like a normal search box and will have the performance of a regular Report Definition search function:
