In grid view only current page results are being sorted

Summary
In a grid view, use paginate activity and call a list-view but when sorting the results on the list view, it is getting sorted only on the viewed page and not on the complete result set.

Steps to Reproduce
Click on the sorting icon of the column.
Root Cause
The user has a pagination activity and expecting the sorting to work across all the pages instead of only one page.
Resolution
This is working as designed. The same has been confirmed by Subject Matter Experts.
