Importing records to data type adds more rows

SA-74459

Summary

Data type import adds double the number of records after upload.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Export data type records.
  2. Add new records.
  3. Import the file with the Purpose set as 'Add or Update'.

Root Cause

The data type has multiple keys defined in its class definition. It is determined that the order of the keys on the Mapping screen during upload is different from the order of the keys in the class definition. Therefore, during the import, multiple new records are uploaded.

Resolution

Perform the following  local-change:
  1. On the Import Mapping screen, change the order of the keys to match the order defined in the class definition.
  2. Swap the necessary columns in the CSV to match the order of the keys on the Mapping screen.
