Inconsistent behavior of show script error for mandatory fields

Summary



In a Tab group layout, there are few input fields in each tab. If an error message is set on the tab due to wrong inputs, user wont be able to submit the form. However, when the user corrects the values even then the user is not able to submit the form as the error message is not removed from tab level.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Configure X tabs in the tab layout.
  2. Submit the form when there is a mandatory field not entered in any of the tab
  3. An error message is set at tab level
  4. Provide the mandatory value
  5. Resubmit the form
  6. Observe that the form is not submitted


Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems code or rules: User is not able to submit the form as the error message is not cleared at the tab level after providing the correct values.
