JAWS does not read error messages with the property label

SA-91027

Summary

A field is validated after the user leaves the field. When an error occurs, JAWS states the error message and then the current field label. It does not mention the label of the field where the error occurred.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Configure a Pega application without PegaWAI ruleset.
  2. Tab through the fields in a section in which some properties are marked as Required.
  3. Tab out without entering a value.

Root Cause

This issue was determined to be a product enhancement request.

Resolution

As a local-change, include PegaWAI ruleset. This automatically stops the user from moving away from a 'Required' field without entering a value.

Without the PegaWAI ruleset, the changes required to accomplish this requirement is currently classified as a limitation in the product and is considered as a future enhancement request.
