Not able to use any Java steps in activity in Tenants

Summary



User encounters an error message when tried to update activity in tenant layer. User is not actually altering any of the java in this activity just a property set. In Pega 7.1.8-tenants- tyLoad_Data_Asynch_Before_Composite_Catch_Account activity throws an error whenever user adds a step to do property save.

Steps to Reproduce



Try to use java in any Activity in Tenant.


Root Cause



In PRPC 7.1.8 tenant level security changes have added limitation on what can be done at the tenant level. One of these security changes is to not allow Java steps in tenant level activities.

​Also Java is not allowed in HTML type rules.

 

Resolution


 

This will be handled in a future release of PRPC for clients that plan to be their own service provider for multi tenant applications.  



An enhancement request has been created for consideration by Pega Product Management.
