The open-rule icon for visible-when rule is not working

SA-32443

Summary

During design view, an error occurs when attempting to click the open-rule icon on a visible-when rule field.

Error Messages

Unable to open the rule as Base Class Value is empty

Steps to Reproduce

  1. On PRPC version 6.2sp2, use a repeating-row layout on a section rule and specify a visible-when rule.
  2. Upgrade the system to version 7.2.1.
  3. Attempt to use the open-rule icon next to the visible-when rule.

Root Cause

The open rule control does not know what class to look for the when rule in. This happens because the when conditions do not need a "." and hence the logic in pega_openRuleSP tries to look for the input#pySmartPromptClass to get the value of the class. In this case that will not be populated.

Resolution

This has been fixed in HFix-31346 by updating the logic in pega_openRuleSP to fall-back to the section class from the PRXML when the value of baseClassValue is empty.
