Page is not redirected to Dashboard after an OnClick Cancel work

SA-56886

Summary

A custom Case Manager portal includes a Close button for work that performs an OnClick Cancel work. The screen subsequently redirects to the previous Dashboard.  On logging in through CA Siteminder SSO, a blank page displays the page does not return to the Dashboard. However, this works when logging in directly.

Error Messages

Not Applicable.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Log in through protected SSO URL where third party, for example Siteminder, displays the login screen
  2. Click to open the work object. The perform harness loads according to the case type configuration
  3. Configure the Close button with OnClick Cancel action
  4. Click the Close button

Root Cause

During the load of the user portal, the mashupBaseReferrer cookie is set using the document referrer as a value. In this use case the referrer is the Siteminder login page and is in a separate domain.

During UI actions like 'cancel', a call to pega.desktop.support.isSafeToAskParent returns false because the value of this cookie contains the domain for the Siteminder login page and does not match the domain for pxReqHomeURI. The function pega.desktop.support.isSafeToAskParent incorrectly returns false as this is not a Mashup

Resolution

Apply HFix-41615.
