PropertyType replaces 1 or 0 with True or False

Summary



Multiple failures occur where the TrueFalse property that is used as the business logic expects 0 or 1, post upgrading to Pega 8.3.2. However, the property converts it to True or False. The application uses a few places where external systems are sending 1 or 0 value in Bolt. The XSD generates TrueFalse property and the system automatically replaces the values as part of integrations on navigating to > Soap > Parse > XML response.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Save the TrueFalse property type
  2. Set the value 0 or 1
  3. Click Run



Root Cause



The business logic in the user's application requires the TrueFalse property to report as 1 or 0 as opposed to True or False.


Resolution

  1. Apply HFix-61119
  2. Restart the application after applying the hotfix
