PXOBJClass is pulled on executing ListView or report definition

SA-76519

Summary

PXOBJClass related to framework is pulled while executing ListView or report definition. Report on Descendant Class Instances checkbox is selected.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

Unknown

Root Cause

An issue in the custom application code or rules. Multiple implementation classes are defined in the framework class in the Dev environment. The other environments have one implementation class defined as follows:

Dev:

Number of descendant classes 2
UUU-XXX-COL-Work
UUU-XXX-COL-Work-Archive-Case

IT:
Number of descendant classes 1
UUU-XXX-COL-Work

UAT:
Number of descendant classes 1
UUU-XXX-COL-Work

Resolution

Here’s the explanation for the reported behavior:
The report reverts to the framework class to populate the report since it is not able to determine which implementation class to use. This occurs when the 'Report on Descendant Class Instances' checkbox is selected  and there are multiple implementation classes defined on the framework class where the report is defined.
