Read only fields are editable on browser refresh in IE

SA-69134

Summary

A tabbed section is configured to display data and the section is set to read-only mode. On refreshing the screen from the Internet Explorer browser, the section is in the editable mode instead of read-only.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a tabbed section in the custom confirm harness.
  2. Add a section in the tabs as read only.
  3. Refresh the screen in the Internet Explorer browser.

Root Cause

A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment.
In the application ruleset, the section included in the Tab group was retrieved incorrectly on browser refresh.

Resolution

Here’s the explanation for the reported behavior:

The checked out version of the parent section has a section include in which the read-only attribute is incorrectly formed during browser refresh.

As a local-change, re-include the inner section and save the main section.
