Reports do not display on the report browser



Reports do not display on the report browser. On each public category, 0 displays indicating that there are no reports.

Error Messages

"pzRBShortcuts ** ** Retrieving the report data exceeded the limit of 30 seconds. Please try making the report more specific by further limiting which rows to include.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open the report browser
  2. Click a category to open

Root Cause

A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment. The issue was traced on the pzRBShortcutsByCategory report definition that was run to populate the report browser. The query issued by the report, timed out. The Structured Query Language (SQL) server was the database of the system. The statistics it used to formulate the execution plan for the query, got out of sync with the actual data and therefore, it needed an update.


Perform the following local-change:
Run the below queries on the SQL server to update the statistics on the relevant tables:

  1. update statistics pr4_rule_vw;
  2. update statistics pr_sys_ruleset_index;
  3. update statistics pr4_rule_shortcut;
  4. update statistics pr_sys_class_ancestors;
