Screen displays incorrectly and skin types do not render in UI

Summary
The screen displays incorrectly and the skin types do not render in the screen. This occurs after switching user roles and opening a screen in the second application.
Error Messages
Not Applicable.
Steps to Reproduce
- Log in as administrator
- Launch the user portal
- Switch the user role (application) from the portal which reloads the screen with the current user role
- Open any screen from the second application
Root Cause
An issue in the custom application code or rules. User has customized the application switch functionality to invoke ShowDesktop while switching application from the portal. As a result, the portal ID is missed in the parameters which is responsible for calculating the skin value, pyPortalSkin.
Resolution
Perform the following local-change:Configure the application switch with ShowSelectedPortal activity instead of ShowDesktop which ensures that the required parameters are passed while switching application.
