SMA Declare Page cache clear option not clearing the cache

Summary



SMA-Declare Page cache clear option not clearing the cache. Expectations are to clear the entire cache by using "clear"-entire cache option on the SMA - Declare Page cache management page.

Error Messages



No relevant error message. Functionality finishes without any error.


Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open the SMA application and select the node.
  2. Expand the Advance option and click on Declarative Page Cache Management link.
  3. Click on Clear button under Entire Cache section.
  4. Check cache is not getting cleared.


Root Cause



A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment:

If  the "clear"-entire cache button in SMA is used then it clears the definitions and re-initialize them. So the the Page definitions are not getting removed.

Resolution



Perform the following local-change:

To resolve this issue set the following prconfig properties to false:


prconfig/initialization/declarePages/preLoadDeclarePageDefinitionCache/default
prconfig/initialization/declarePages/enableLoadOnlyPages/default

 If we set the property to false it will stop the pre-load of the data page definition cache.
