Two-step filtering does return records

SA-14428

Summary

Filtering a list view on more than one column does not work when the first filter is applied using the text input field on the filter popup.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

1. Run a list view and apply a filter to one of the columns using the text input field on the filter popup.

2. Apply a second filter to another column using the checkbox on the pick list in the filter popup.

3. No results are displayed.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.
On adding the second filter, the generated SQL query contained an incorrect formulation of the first filter condition. Specifically, the percent characters (%) used as wild cards in the 'LIKE' condition in the WHERE clause were encoded, causing the query to return no results.

The query was formulated correctly for the first filter applied.

But for the second filter, the percent characters were encoded.

Resolution

Install HFix-23870.
